| This is our attempt to design an allergy freehouse. The clients had done a lot of research due to family members being prone to severe Asthma attacks. The outside wall cladding is a combination of western red cedar and corrugated zincalume. No particleboard was used anywhere in the house, using ply flooring under wet areas, and solid pine shelves. The house was designed to make the least 'footprint' on the site which limited clearing to that required to give adequate fire protection, and to remove species such as wattle which caused allergy problems. |
