This is another design for a very strict covenant, so that the whole suburb had houses designed with a Tuscan theme. The developer wanted all the houses to have what he called 'Palladian" features, of which designers had to use 4 out of 7. As Architects this went a bit against the grain, as 'Tuscan' architecture is fine for Tuscany, but unsuitable for our lifestyle and climate, but I think we managed to design a very pleasant house with plenty of roof overhangs. One amusing point is that one of the required seven features was a 'cupola', which is what they call the little tower on the roof. A cupola is actually a dome, but we affectionately referred to it as the 'pigeon loft'
